On behalf of the Snohomish Senior Center, I want to thank a very special group of teenagers, R.O.S.S., which stands for Reach Out to Snohomish Seniors. Reach out, they most certainly do. For over seven years, this group of caring teens has helped with virtually every event we have had, except for during the summer.
They come to the center to help seniors carve pumpkins for Halloween, make wreaths for Christmas, and valentines for Valentine’s Day, even providing the materials. They help sponsor a dinner for seniors in May and an ice cream social in June. Throughout the years the names and faces of these young people have changed, but their enthusiasm and devotion remain the same. These young men and women are learning early to reach out to their community, and most of them surely will move on to become leaders. It is always a pleasure to see their beautiful, smiling faces at our events.
Thank you, R.O.S.S. kids, it is great working with you.
