Once again, Beth Peterson and her drama students at Everett Community College have produced an astonishingly tight and professional little play: “The Illusion.” You can still see it next week, Dec. 4-6 — go to www.everettcc.edu for information.
Theater doesn’t just happen. Young actors must pull as one cohesive unit, and what they produce is, well, magic. “The Illusion” is a gem thanks to the talent and passion of youth tempered by a master director. Good theater isn’t always bells, whistles, lights and elaborate stage sets. Here, the actors are inhabited by their characters. Here, you’ll find hilarity, charm, intelligence and yes — it is all about love. Bravo.
