I was distressed to read this morning that the city of Everett is willing to punish kids and readers to balance the budget.
Is the city clueless about why the tax increase measure was so soundly defeated?
It was a vote of no confidence pure and simple.
Intent on spending $40 million so grown men in short pants can run around the bases while cheating Everett’s kids of places to play and books to read is appalling!
I suppose support for the arts will be sacrificed next.
I am beyond disappointed.
