As a third-generation local and a board member of Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens, I just have to say the downtown blooms this year have been nothing short of spectacular! The Parks Department has outdone themselves with brilliant red dominating baskets and planters. Dee Drake planted all those tall canna lilies from seed and the watering crew kept them everything in top form throughout the summer. Hats off for a job well done!
