We all recognize that the opioid crisis is tragic and urgent, but there is so much more to the mayoral office than trying to solve the addiction problems plaguing our streets. There are public works projects, housing affordability, taxation issues, law enforcement oversight, and so much more. The only candidate with a proven track record to hit the ground running on Day 1 is Cassie Franklin.
Cassie Franklin has new ideas about how to address the opioid crisis, and knows what it takes to keep Everett as a place where we can all live, work and play. We all know about her time at Coccoon House, but at her time on the council, she as sponsored countless bills and initiatives to work on keeping Milltown a hometown we can all be proud of.
Cassie undoubtedly would like to see our town’s opioid crisis solved. This is why she has been a leader on the Everett City Council to help address this issue and many others our town face. The list of committees, councils, and advisory boards she sits on is extensive, and spans farther than any other candidate on the ballot, write-in or not. Without hesitation, this election year, I’m voting Cassie Franklin for mayor.
