What a tribute to our veterans on Nov. 11. The Everett Senior Activity Center was packed. The Senior Center was decorated so nice, the Moonlight Swing Orchestra provided wonderful music to dance to and the Emerald Swing dancers group were wonderful to watch. Not only did they dance to their special numbers but they stayed the rest of the afternoon and danced with the seniors who wanted to dance.
Numerous songs were sung by the Senior Center’s Sunshine Singers and a beautiful solo was sung by Debbie Wright. The rest of the afternoon was filled with many more talented people.
There was constant entertainment from 1-6 p.m. The theme of the celebration was the USO Centers during World War II and that continued even to the lunch that was served. There were numerous memorabilia displays from past wars.
We would like to extend a very special “Thank you” to everyone who worked on putting on such a very successful event. We hope that this very special event may be put on again next year. Thank you.
