In this election, 10th Legislative District voters have three choices for state representative, Position 2.
The incumbent has proven that she is the puppet of corporate money. Her voting habit as recorded in the Legislative Review issued by the Association of Washington Business clearly shows that she is not interested in representing the citizens of the 10th District — our district! For three terms, she has been beholden to the policies of “Big Business.”
The next choice is an under-experienced volunteer with a nursing background. She has little to no experience serving in our community. Having moved from the city to “get away” and having spent so little time in our district, I find it hard to believe that she would be able to relate to our suburban/rural lifestyle and interests.
The final and clear choice for this position is Ann McDonald. She has lived here for more than 20 years. She raised her family in Greenbank. She has been active in the community and local government agencies in our district. Ann has also operated a successful small business. As Coupeville port commissioner, she has proven that she can work with people from both parties and make sound, nonpartisan policy decisions. Ann is an independent thinker and not the puppet of corporate and political elite. Her diverse accomplishments are many. She has the experience and the commitment to represent our middle-class family values. Ann McDonald has been a good friend, a good neighbor and a good citizen of our region. It is clear to me that the only real choice is Ann McDonald. She has my vote.
