I would like to thank Jerry Cornfield for his enlightening July 15 column (“Eyman’s latest is a big dose of democracy.”) But I would have to disagree with Mr. Cornfield in that it won’t be Mr. Eyman who wants to put his column on his Web site, but his opposition.
We all know what gridlock is, go out to the parking lot called I-5 at rush hour and you can see it for yourself. I can’t imagine anything that would cause gridlock more in our government than passing I-960.
As Mr. Cornfield gives in his example of raising parking rates; if you want our state legislators to do the day-to-day decision-making of every little decision in government – it’s going to create gridlock in every phase of their work. They don’t have that much time.
Thank you, Mr. Cornfield. You just made my decision very easy on how to vote on I-960.
