Since the sanctuary cities are violating federal law by not enforcing federal law concerning illegal undocumented workers, then they need to suffer the consequences of their actions. That means taking away all the federal money, then so be it.
Sanctuary cities are not independent countries and thus should not only follow the laws of the United States but also enforce the laws of the United States. I do not understand why they should condone and continue to ignore illegal undocumented workers since the term illegal means just that. They are in this country unlawfully, and take away benefits that are needed by lawful American citizens.
If they want to come back to the United States, let them do it the proper way by filing the appropriate paperwork and wait until they are allowed to come back to the country. They come back “illegally” once again, then they should be put into prison for violating U.S. law. I do not care if they are a baby or a grandparent, if they are not supposed to be in this country, then they should be deported.
