I first met Jackie Minchew while he was involved with the Dean for America campaign. He had taken Howard Dean’s charge to his supporters to heart – that citizens had to take more action than just voting, they needed to volunteer on campaigns or actively seek office themselves. Jackie came to me as chair of the Snohomish County Democrats and asked what he could do to become involved. That was the summer of 2003.
Many have offered but none have become more involved than Jackie. He has gone on to win elections for precinct committee officer, vice chair and chair of the 44th Legislative District Democrats. He has put in countless hours in support of candidates and issues that have added to the quality of life of the people of Everett and Snohomish County. His dedication and commitment has earned Jackie the respect of elected officials, community leaders and all who have worked with him.
Poppy and I are proud to endorse Jackie Minchew for Everett City Council, Position 7.
