Please let me share an unusual example of customer service. In May, I took my large riding lawnmower in to Sound Tractor, in Everett, to get it repaired. Finally it was time to get a truck and bring it home. I started to mow my very large lawn and in half an hour, it literally fell apart.
I had to leave for six weeks in the East the next day. I called Larry, in the service department, and left him a sad telephone message. In the car, along the way, he called back to say they would drive out to get it, fix it and return it to me. Upon returning home this weekend, I found my lawn mower repaired and in place. What a happy surprise! How rarely does a company stand by its work with such care?
We often complain about bad service, and how even more often, we note little cuts in service. But Sound Tractor came out to Arlington, fixed the product and brought it back — at no extra charge — just as they said they would.
