Sure, our local governments can reach into our wallets and purses and pull out a million or a billion dollars, but what good is that going to do? Remember the PEMCO Insurance commercial from a couple of years ago: Roads don’t cause accidents, cars don’t cause accidents, it is people that reach down and look down to insert a CD in their car stereo, it is people who shave and change clothes while driving that cause accidents.
Fixing roads isn’t going to stop accidents.
I am a commercial driver and I know it taxes 110 percent concentration on driving.
People, start driving more responsibly.
That is the only way to fix accidents on U.S. 2 and Highway 9.
