Flag is welcome, regardless of size

The front page story about a grand old flag caught my attention. I think it’s a grand idea to have an 80-foot flagpole and huge flag in Harborview Park. But park officials are dubious about obstructing the views.

I say baloney! The American Flag ought to be welcome no matter what its size. The view of the flag from those who are out at sea would be lovely; illuminating it at night would be even better. Mr. Fowler, if you need help with this project, let me know. Also, I’d be the first to salute it — with pride!
