To the person who wrote the Friday letter, “War supporters ruined symbolism,” I would like to say, “Thank you.” First of all, your letter reminded me that I had not yet displayed my flag for Flag Day and second, I agree with you totally — those people speaking for our country who are trying to make enemies of anyone who they disagree with have soiled the word patriotism. We can be for peace and still be good Americans. Therefore, I immediately went out and raised my flag after reading your letter.
I, too, miss the true symbolism that our flag stands for, and am determined to take it back. Let freedom ring.
