I wanted to give a rebuttal to a Dec. 13 letter from James Eagon (“Insurance initiative: Don’t impose religious views”). A well-informed Christian or one who truly grasps the message in scripture would know that a true Christian does not hate a person for what they concieve to be sin. It’s hate the sin, not the sinner.
That’s number one. Number two, is this: How do we as parents teach our children what is moral and what is not, when people are saying “If it feels good, do it”? No one that I personally have come in contact with has ever walked away feeling that they were forced to listen to ministering words. It’s sad to think that so few people see the good that Christians do, but always focus on the very few that jump up and ridicule. It’s about loving one another, plain and simple. Love God, love people no matter what, unconditionally. That’s what it’s all about.
