Foolish submissions are a waste space

I accept your invitation to submit a letter to the editor (Wednesday editorial, “Get in on the conversation”) with a plea to stop printing foolish letters, like the recent one from a fellow who said state troopers cause accidents by pulling over speeders on the shoulder of the road. He also blamed auto manufacturers for building vehicles capable of speeding (!). Surely your precious column inches would be better used by running a public service ad whenever you lack for intelligent, constructive commentary.
