Forget Amazon; build a sports park in county

Snohomish County, stop already! More people moving in weekly the roads are so over crowded. Please stop trying to get more businesses in Smokey Point and all along I-5.

Start thinking of the people you already have in the county. We need a nice sports complex or at the least an awesome park. Because of grandsons who play hockey we drive up to Canada, to the Tri-Cities, to Portland and places in between. Bellingham has a wonderful complex with ice hockey, open skate, indoor and outdoor soccer, lacrosse, swimming, etc. Abbortsford has a beautiful park. There are many other awesome complexes we have come upon in our travels.

The building where the tractor store is now sat empty for I don’t know how many years. It could of been turned into an ice rink or indoor sports complex. Albertson’s on State Street, empty for how many years?. Make it a hockey arena. Instead of trying to get Amazon here and adding another 50,000 people, make something that will be used year round by the public.

Snohomish County government, all you see is dollar signs: Stop the growth of people and add to the health of the folks already living in the county!
