In response to the “What determines who gets forgiven” letter about pro sports in the Monday Herald, I don’t even need to take an educated guess as to the answer of the question. The chances of anyone else making large sums of money by having Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame are slim, at best. Other than Pete, of course.
On the other hand, the forgiveness of Michael Vick allows NFL properties, the Philadelphia Eagles, and who knows how many other money-grubbing entities that want a piece of the monetary pie a chance to cash in.
Let’s face it, the NFL (read Newly Forgiven Lawbreakers) has only one thing in mind by reinstating Michael Vick: Sell, sell, sell, reap, reap, reap, profit, profit, profit! I feel better already.
