Franklin’s Cocoon House work prepared her for mayor’s post

I am a lifelong resident of Snohomish County. My parents brought me to gymnastics class in Everett. I recall picking up my patches at the Campfire office. My parents trained at Compass Health to be foster care parents. We even bought our goats from the Forest Park Petting Zoo! As you see, a great amount of my youth was spent in Everett. These memories made it right for me to move here in 2008.

The first time I met Cassie Franklin her passion shone through. Everett is on the cusp of a huge breakthrough and Cassie will be the mayor to bring this breakthrough to a reality. The collaboration she plans to continue to embrace and expand upon is necessary for our city to become more and more like a community. Cassie believes in building strengths on strengths and embedding our diversities among one another while continuing to build our community. Her experience supporting youth at Cocoon House, and working on the Homeless Policy Task Force gives her an edge over the other candidates to address this very real and raw concern so many of us share regarding safety and commerce.

I’ve listened to her passionate researched plans which brings me hope that Everett will find the right response to this very real issue. This passion resounds through her in all she does and this passion is what we need to bring us forward. Cassie Franklin has my vote and I believe in her to be our mayor.
