On Aug. 2, we opened up our backyard garden railroad for tour to the public as a fundraiser for the Marysville Food Bank, and to thank the city of Marysville for the honor they bestowed us last year on Best Home Improvement 2013. It was a most amazing day, with nearly 500 visitors, and 350 pounds of food gathered, and cash donations of $539. It was so much fun taking it to the food bank.
Thank you all for stopping by, your much appreciated comments, and your generous donations. We very much appreciate Steve Powell from the Marysville Globe for the wonderful story he did for us, and also, Andrea Brown of the Herald. With your help, we were blessed with many new visitors to the Drizzle &Downpour Railroad and a day we will remember forever.
