Fuzzy Wuzzy was a rex

Hey, that tickles: New fossil evidence discovered in China suggests that a 125-million-year-old cousin of Tyrannosaurus rex had a coat of primitive feathers. The feathers weren’t used for flight, but gave the 3,000-pound raptors a fuzzy appearance.

It’s thought the feathers provided insulation but also compelled Yutyrannus huali’s prey to come up and give the meat-eater a big hug.

I’ll take Half Measures for $800, Alex: Washington state and a state lawmaker were featured in a recent episode of the TV quiz show “Jeopardy.” The question mentioned a proposal by Kettle Falls Sen. Bob Morton, R-Mason-Dixon Line, to split Washington into two states, east and west, because of the regions’ political and cultural differences.

The bill failed when neither Eastern Washington nor Western Washington could agree on which side would have to take Moses Lake.
