The Herald recently had an article related to local gas prices (“As gas prices near $5 in Everett, who has the best deal around,” The Herald, May 14). It stated
“At this time four years ago, the average was under $2.40.”
As several sources have pointed out, four years ago we were in the throes of the pandemic, and more workers and students were working remotely. This lowered the demand for gas and the prices at that time.
