We just couldn’t let the letter from Everett’s John Slusher in the Nov. 26 paper go by without a prompt response (“George W. Bush: Drew pay during campaign”). Gee, presidential candidate Al Gore is still collecting salary from his current position as vice president of the United States. In addition, he took his campaign all over the country via a United States government owned airplane, courtesy of us taxpayers. And, vice presidential candidate Joe Lieberman is still earning his salary as United States senator from Connecticut. And Mr. Slusher’s point is – ?
