A recent poll indicated 79 percent of Americans were open to the idea of a woman as President. The thinking of the American people has evolved significantly on this matter. In fact, in a recent (admittedly unscientific – but there were shades of intelligence in its design) poll conducted at a local watering hole, 61 percent of the respondents claimed that any number of the higher primates would perform better in the role of president than the incumbent.
