The Monroe Garden Club held its annual plant sale last Saturday at the East County Senior Center and the club thanks all who visited and purchased plants.
The club is also thankful to the following area business for their generous donations to the plant sale: West Coast Nursery, Pine Creek Nursery, Wild Birds Unlimited/Monroe, Sky Valley Nursery, Storm Lake Growers, Falling Water Design, and Steubers.
The funds raised will provide a scholarship for a Monroe High School graduate studying in the horticultural field, and will also provide for community beautification projects.
