I was disgusted by the predictable stupidity that caused the loss of Garrison Keillor’s column in The Herald. The #MeToo movement’s wild swing from not believing and oppressing women to knee-jerk believing is part of what was oppressing women to begin with. Good intentions often lie, of course. And people lie on purpose. It always boils down to stupidity.
But Keillor’s replacement, George Will has penned columns that have been a lovely respite from all the ignorant noise going on these days, especially and most sickeningly coming from the farcically fascist White House.
His Monday column on immigration stated reality exactly as I see it and offered the obvious common-sense solutions that any idiot with a heart should agree with. May true, decent conservative voices like his get more and more attention and may we eventually have a national conversation worth having!
