My hat is off to the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at President Bush during his recent visit to Iraq. I suspect that the gesture represents the hatred that many, if not most, Iraqis must have for this administration, if not for America in general. I have only three regrets regarding this incident: I wish that the journalist had taken better aim, thrown something more substantial than his shoes, and that Dick Cheney was at George’s side as a recipient of one of the flying shoes.
