Before I buy something, I try to find out some facts independent of what the salesman might be saying. Before we buy into NASCAR, I would like someone to present to us some facts not provided by International Speedway Corporation. There are indications that the rosy economic boon the ISC would paint for us is not the whole picture by far. Is it true that the Tulalip Tribes declined the ISC offer eight years ago to build on Tulalip land? Why didn’t they jump at the opportunity? Before we jump, not after, let’s find out all there is to know, or we taxpayers may be footing the bill for years and years to come.
