As a young girl I read a book called “On the Beach.” The idea of nuclear war was horrifying. As a child I felt that I did not have the ability to change the course of history but now as an adult I do.
Each of us has the opportunity to ask their senators to support Senate Bill 200, which will take the first-use strike to start a nuclear war out of the hands of the president and into the hands of Congress by a declaration of war authorizing a strike. Please let Sen. Patty Murray and Sen. Maria Cantwell know that you support SB 200.
