Sunday’s Herald had an interesting article, “Somers sees no conflict in stance.” The article quotes Snohomish County Councilman John Koster as saying of Councilman Dave Somers, “If he feels like he can make a decision and not have his affiliation with Futurewise affect his decision, that’s fine.”
Suppose we turn that around a little bit and say of Koster, “If he feels like he can make a decision and not have his affiliation with the developers affect his decision, that’s fine.”
I support councilman Somers and think he is making an intelligent decision to remain involved in this issue. Many of us citizens feel that the County Council has sold us out to the interest of the developers in recent years and we are glad to have Councilman Somers back.
To quote Ansel Adams, “It is horrifying that we have to fight our own government to save the environment.”
