The Local section of Saturday’s Herald had stories of assault, robbery and murder with 30-plus years of prison time for each conviction. There was also the Roll Call story of the state House’s bipartisan attempts at a 25-year minimum sentence for sex offenders.
These are regularly occurring news articles that to me simply say, “We do not make the punishment fit the crime!” These disgusting, low-life vermin should not be supported by literally generations of taxpayer’s money. Think about it. Many of your unborn children will be paying to house, feed and provide medical (and dental) services to this human garbage. And the numbers continue to grow.
Isn’t it time our New Testament society started using some good Old Testament justice? Like “If thy right (or left) hand offend thee, cut it off.” And that would apply to the appropriate appendage for sex offenders and child molesters. Don’t you think it’s time to admit there really are bad seeds in this world for which the only cure is heavy weeding? Wouldn’t this get the message across to those wanting to “play” but not pay?
