I am livid. I am angry. I do not support the teachers. I want my kids back in school now. If that means a court injunction, so be it. If that means firing the teachers, so be it. I want my kids in school and they want to be in school. They will not go to school on Saturdays. They will not be in school when it is supposed to be their summer break.
I have paid enough. Enough is enough. Obviously, the teachers do not care about anyone but themselves. Money is not always the answer. I have heard enough whining. I don’t buy into the argument that in order to be happy, I need to make more money or I won’t be a good teacher. Go out and find a job that will pay you what you are making with the benefits that you have. You would rather hold our kids hostage for extortion until you get what you want and I for one will not take it any more. I will never vote to pass another levy and certainly not for a new high school. I don’t have the money. You are really angry with Gov. Gary Locke who superceded the vote of the people for your cost of living raises because he doesn’t have the money either. Go to work or find another job.
