Regarding the Sunday letter, “Dems monkeyed with system“: It is quite interesting that the writer rails against the Democrats for “monkeying” with Social Security, being that the Republicans have opposed this program from its inception. Bring on the conversation of how to ascertain the longevity of this indispensable program, but beware of those who would dismantle it, leaving nothing at all for our seniors to “monkey” with.
