A new commercial came on TV the other night stating that AARP endorses the new Medicare bill. Well, I belong to AARP and I didn’t endorse it and I am sure millions of other AARP members didn’t endorse it either.
The head of AARP is William Novelli, a good buddy of Newt Gingrich. He endorsed Newt’s book on how to scuttle Medicare and turn it over to the private sector (rich Republicans).
The Republicans never write a bill unless it helps their rich friends and they never support bills that would help poor, elderly or sick people. They voted against Medicare and Social Security and if they had been in power, we would not have these programs today.
About 60 years ago I asked my dad the difference between Democrats and Republicans. He said Democrats are for the people and Republicans are for the rich people. That is true today.
George Bush spent millions in taxpayers’ money to destroy Iraq so his rich friends can make billions to rebuild Iraq. What if a few hundred American soldiers have to die as long as there’s a big fat payoff at the end?
Remember, AARP members, Republicans never give something without getting their pound of flesh in return.
