Trying to keep a positive mindset and reading the letters selected for print is a very tedious balance. I am amazed at how uninformed, illogical or ignorant the population in this county are. The worst part is that these people vote. They believe we can confiscate people’s livelihood at unprecedented levels, the state can spend way more than it collects and can invest in things that have little or no measurable hope of success — if there is any measure of success at all — and still remain stable. People, please think a little beyond your ideological barriers and remember that our society of limited government and individual freedom are what brought this country to prosperity. We would have remained a Third World country if we catered to every little politically correct social construct that was sold to us. It’s snake oil and eventually the venom will sink in. It’s not too late to do your homework. Stop voting for initiatives that are not backed up with solid, clear objectives that prove their value. Your vote should align the same way as your personal financial management. Don’t vote to spend other people’s money if you would not invest in the program personally.
