It’s time for Tech Sunday with The Buzz:

Still working on the perfume samples: Wired magazine has joined the growing list of print periodicals offering a version made specifically for Apple’s iPad tablet. Along with stories, readers can bring up related videos and other multimedia goodies.

The makers of Wired’s iPad app paid attention to the details; if you pick up the iPad by its side, little electronic subscription cards fall from the iPad and flutter to the ground.

  • Make some popcorn: The latest gadget to allow people to watch Internet video on a TV is the Intel Wireless Display, but the catch is you have to buy a new laptop from Dell, Toshiba or Sony, costing at least $900.

That’s a lot of money just so, from the comfort of your living room couch, you can watch videos of cats riding a Roomba.

  • Batteries not included: Seems Like Yesterday informs us that 25 years ago, the GTE Phone Mart at Everett Mall had a Father’s Day gift suggestion: a Quasar five-in-one telephone with a black-and-white TV, AM/FM radio, digital clock and snooze alarm.

And this modern-day technological marvel fit inside a console no bigger than a Honda Civic.
