We wish to express our gratitude to the Snohomish Fire District No. 4, the city of Snohomish, the Army Corps of Engineers and the many volunteers who provided help to fight the recent flood of the Pilchuck River at the Second Street Bridge and the Sixth Street Bridge. Volunteers of all ages showed up and continued to work hard through adverse conditions until the job was done.
Without their help, those people on the east side of the Pilchuck River would have been at greater risk. Many people from that area, including those residents in the Pilchuck Trailer Park, Snohomish Vet Clinic and RJ Construction, have acknowledged their appreciation for all those involved.
We are grateful to all of you who gave unselfishly to the people of this community in their time of need.
Dave Remlinger, Scott Gunning, Scott Griffin, French Slough Flood Control Commissioners
