Hurray, independent bookstores get the nod. (Wednesday editorial, “Bookstores so out they’re in”).
While we count ourselves lucky to have great examples in Bellingham, Anacortes, Seattle and Portland, please don’t forget right here is South Snohomish County, the pride and joy of Edmonds, the Edmonds Bookshop. Locally owned and operated by husband and wife team Mary Kay Sneeringer and David Brewster, the Edmonds Bookshop is a key fixture on 5th Avenue in downtown Edmonds. So, pop on in editors, it’s a lot closer than the others.
