Greene has fought crime for 35 years

The choice for Snohomish County sheriff is obvious. For the past 35 years one candidate has been fighting crime while working his way up to the rank of bureau chief.

The former state trooper/politician candidate has been a member of the state Legislature, which is responsible for the unacceptable performance of such state agencies as the Department of Social and Health Services, Child Protective Services and the Department of Corrections.

These agencies have failed our citizens to the point that criminals under state supervision have killed three police officers in Washington state in the past two years and allowed children of our state to be sexually assaulted, abused and killed while under the care of the state agencies, of which the trooper/politician’s political party has had oversite for several decades.

Do we need a well-seasoned veteran law enforcement police officer/administartor or a traffic cop/politician leading the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office? As a 40-year resident of Snohomish County and retired police administrator, the choice is clear if for me. I am voting for Tom Greene for Snohomish County sheriff and I hope you will join me.

Jim Tagart

Retired Mount Vernon police chief
