Group’s generosity is overwhelming

Last weekend an amazing thing happened. Marysville’s Relay For Life teams had their last big meeting before the actual event that kicks off today. A group of ladies who had been involved in the relay for years showed up at our meeting unannounced. Being older ladies, they don’t participate in the relay as much as they did in their previous years, but they sure showed they care about our cause.

Every year, they hold a charity golf tournament, and this year, Marysville’s Relay For Life teams were the grateful recipients of their generosity and heart. These gracious ladies donated $12,501 to our Marysville Relay For Life teams. Even though I couldn’t make the meeting and witness this, the stories I’ve been told by those in attendance prompted me to write this letter (after the tears dried enough for me to see). To the ladies of 4UALBU, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I think I can speak on behalf of all of us involved with Relay For Life: You ladies are truly amazing, and we truly appreciate your generosity.
