I have been a resident of Snohomish for more than 78 years and many of you know me as a former teacher and coach at Snohomish High School. I am writing in support of Randy Hamlin who is running for Snohomish City Council Position 5.
Throughout my life as a teacher and coach, I have always respected people who seek to serve their community. I have known Randy for many years and I know him to be a person of honor, intelligence and common sense. I have personally seen Randy in action as a community leader in Snohomish and can vouch for his independence and ability to bring people together for the common good. His community service, education, work and life experience provide him with the breadth of knowledge and skills to understand the technical and business issues of the city combined with the desire to keep Snohomish special. Randy also has a unique ability to represent, with compassion, the entire citizenry of the city of Snohomish.
Our city’s future is promising when we elect leaders who are not only bright and capable, but committed to building consensus, keeping an open mind, and representing all the citizens of Snohomish. I believe Randy would make a most worthwhile contribution as a leader in our community.
