We here in Snohomish County spend a lot of time complaining about our high rates for power, me included. This time, I’d like to pay the PUD a very high compliment on their level of service.
I live in the Timberbrook area of Marysville and on Sept. 5, my entire neighborhood lost power. I must have been one of the first ones to report the outage, and the customer service representative I spoke with was very pleasant and assured me they would have a crew out as soon as possible to find out what the problem was. When several hours passed and I still had no power, I was impressed by the outage hotline that kept us informed that they were working on the problem and how long it would take to fix.
I spoke with another representative Friday at 5:30 a.m. when my husband and I woke up to discover we still were without power. Even at that time of the morning, the gentleman I spoke with was courteous and pleasant, and even took the time to explain the issue. Even though our power was not re-established until very early Saturday morning, a service crew was out working round-the-clock to get our neighborhood back up and running. The fact that a crew was out at 11:30 Friday night stringing cables from poles so that our service could be restored left me with a very positive impression.
Kudos to the hard work and fine service we received from the PUD.
