Harmsworth will balance big issues

I would like to commend Mark Harmsworth to the citizens of Mill Creek for City Council Position 5.

Mark is my neighbor and we have worked closely on issues within Parkside and on city traffic and noise issues. I have found him to be honest, intelligent, thoughtful, hard-working and very caring about our neighborhood and the city of Mill Creek.

Mark has a unique ability to translate thorough study of an issue into enthusiastic action.

As a member of the Parkside Home Owner’s Association Board, Mark has been active in his concern for county growth, which is impacting many Mill Creek residents along Seattle Hill Road due to the increased traffic and noise. I look forward to Mark holding Snohomish County accountable for allowing population growth to exceed the capacity of our city roads.

Mark understands the need for successful business growth to help meet the needs of our city.

Increased neighborhood safety through better police protection is another reason I plan to vote for him for the City Council. I believe we can count on Mark to see that our police force is fully staffed.

Better safety, further business growth and standing up for our city — all good reasons to join me in voting for Mark Harmsworth for council Position 5.
