As a Vietnam veteran, I have seen the repeated disdain for the military by those self-serving and incompetent politicians and am fed up. Very few in our government have ever “served” in the military, or even served their country in the position they are elected to. Thanks to our ignorant politicians, women are now aboard our Navy ships and are in combat. Now they raise hell because our women are being “assaulted” constantly. Oddly, in my roughly six years aboard an aircraft carrier, I do not recall any instance of “sexual assault” aboard ship. Then none while I was flying in P-3’s since there were no females, and we had a job to do and we did it with no distractions.
What do you expect from the countless “virile” young men who have been trained to do a very technical and strategic job, then placed next to an attractive female, who looks and smells so good to them? The competency of the job suffers and if they make an erroneous remark, or look, they are accused of sexual assault. I have no tolerance for actual sexual assault, or any other, for that matter. But let’s be honest and not call every comment or glance an assault! These men are not “robots”! And no doubt many are enticed by the females they work with, as they are human also.
These fools in government no longer know what sex is anyway. They are out to make a name for themselves and look good to the thoughtless voters. All they want to do is bring down the highly trained and competent military leaders and blame them for the sexual problems in the military. Get off their backs and use some common sense for a change. Get the females off Navy ships and out of combat situations, including tactical aircraft, they don’t belong!
This has absolutely no bearing on their competence or abilities, but the fact that the two, men and women, do not belong together in the military, period. Stop blaming the military leaders for something they have very little control over, human nature! These politicians need to clean and polish their plastic belly buttons.
