Couldn’t help but respond to a recent letter writer’s views on Jim McDermott’s lip-flapping while in Iraq. The writer would have us believe that it’s OK for one of our own to go into a foreign country and bad-mouth our government and president, whether we agree 100 percent or not. I disagree! I believe in the old adage “loose lips sink ships.”
All McDermott did was to add fuel to an already simmering fire.
