He has failed to uphold the laws

Where did I wake up? I went to sleep in the USA, but I must have awakened in Venezuela, the country ruled by a dictator. When I woke up this last week I found President Obama had somehow invoked executive privilege to keep We The (Little) People from finding out how guns purchased in this country were allowed to “walk” across the border with Mexico; in the process killing many Mexican citizens and at least one Border Patrol agent, Brian Terry.

According to the law, a president can invoke executive privilege unless it pertains to national security or presidential communication, but cannot invoked it cover up criminal activity. Congress has oversight of things pertaining to the national government, also commonly referred to as part of the checks and balances our Founding Fathers designed. Does the president have something to hide?

President Obama decided to declare that the children of illegal immigrants will no longer be arrested and sent home if they are going to college or serve two years in the military. Even the DREAM Act (never put into law) had these same individuals serving four years in the military.

Monday, The Supreme Court issued the ruling on Arizona’s law concerning the stopping of “possible illegal immigrants.” Supreme Court left in place one part of the law where they can ask for papers to prove citizenship, but only if an officer has to stop them for some other reason. Later in the day, President Obama says Arizona can stop and detain any Illegal Immigrants, but ICE will no longer take their detainees unless they have committed a “major felony.” Don’t we want to do more than ship someone back to the country of origin if they have committed a major felony?

Is this the same man who in front of America swore an oath to uphold the laws of the United States of America? As a candidate, Sen. Obama declared he would have the “most transparent government.” The voters wanted to show we had got beyond the race card. The election of 2008 saw the mainstream media fail to do their job of vetting both the Republican and Democrat.

We the people is how this nation started, but if we the voters want out of the mess this nation, this state, or this county are in we had better start now really doing our research into the best way we feel candidates will uphold our laws and values.
