In Paul Hill’s last jailhouse interview on Sept. 3 before his execution for killing an abortion doctor in Florida, he made a statement to the reporters that the sooner he was executed, the sooner he was going to heaven. He said he expected a reward in heaven and didn’t feel remorse. He claimed that God was proud of what he did.
Everything Paul Hill said and did went against the Bible. The Bible says, “you shall not murder.” Paul Hill murdered without remorse. He claimed he was carrying out justice for the innocent babies killed. In Leviticus 19:15 it says, “Do not pervert justice.” Paul Hill took justice into his own hands and perverted God’s justice. It was not for Paul Hill to take into his own hands. The Bible says, “Do what is just and is right.” God decides what is just and right. If God thought that it was Paul Hill’s job to take care of the abortionist he would have put him in a position to do so.
Paul Hill should have talked to the doctor and shown him his side non-violently. He should not have taken the law into his own hands. If he believes in taking the law into his own hands then shouldn’t the victim’s family get the same opportunity? They should get the opportunity to kill Paul Hill because he killed their family member. In return Paul Hill’s family would have to retaliate and the cycle would never end.
God will deal with everyone and deliver justice. If we all decided to deliver justice, it would never end. Paul Hill went against the Bible. When he faces God he will receive what he deserves.
