The old saying, “better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt,” is alive and well. Hopeful, desperate, out of touch, wannabe president Howard Dean talks, but says absolutely nothing.
As Dean is the so-called frontrunner for the Democratic nomination, one would think he has some solutions or positive options to offer the voting public. Other than castigating our commander-in-chief at every turn, he is void of any ideas for change.
It would have been refreshing to see him at least thank those Americans in harm’s way for their efforts in the capture of Saddam Hussein. He didn’t even have the diplomatic courtesy to congratulate President Bush on this momentous occasion. One of his opponents for the nomination, Joe Lieberman, hit home when he said, “If Howard Dean had his way, Saddam Hussein would still be in power today, not in prison.” Dean’s lack of class speaks volumes regarding his run for the presidency of the United States.
