What a big brouhaha over nothing. As far as apologies to veterans or present day servicemen, Mr. Bush takes the prize. At every point in his career as a politician, he has made fun of, taken pot shots at, and denigrated the service of any and all veterans that stood in his way.
Mr. McCain and Mr. Kerry, to name two. As if he ever did anything to remotely give him that position. Actually, he carried that same disregard for them right on into his war. I doubt that he ever respected the services at all, except perhaps for his father (and rightly so).
