Heavy Falcon flight, Tesla in space a welcome sight

This is just what we needed, at just the right time. Some thing to divert our fears from The Grand Pooh-bah, and show the world that we are not, in fact, drowning in our own ignorance.

Elon Musk did not just show the world that we still have “it.” We never lost it. As if flawlessly launching that behemoth were not enough, he tossed in a big, fat, wet kiss of humor. It is not like we all could not stand a good laugh right about now. If you didn’t get to see the launch, once the vehicle was in space, the nose cone shed its cover exposing Elon’s own bright red Tesla rag top with a mannequin in the driver’s seat, wearing a new design space suit, listening to to a continuous loop of “Rocket Man.”

Imagine what that looks like, a Tesla, speeding through space at 30,000 mph, tunes cranked, and some dude in a space suit at the wheel! Outstanding! I’m 68 years old and I’ve seen a lot, but this is a most inspiring moment. Brought to us by a man who has left the word genius in in his dust. I seriously would give anything to be able to meet this man.
